The Garden Grove Police Department has issued a Silver Alert as it searches for an 84-year-old man diagnosed with dementia who was last seen Friday morning.
Rosendo Cruz was reported missing around 8 a.m., after he walked away from his home on the 8600 block of Dudman Drive in Garden Grove.
Loved ones say Cruz, who is diagnosed with dementia, has never been reported as missing and is not known to go for walks on his own, loved ones said.
Due to his diagnosis and need for medication, Cruz is considered to be at-risk.
Cruz is described as a Hispanic male, standing 5 feet 2 inches, and weighing about 140 pounds. He has short white hair and a white beard, and was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with a rooster on it, a blue and white flannel shirt and blue Dickie’s brand pants.
