A 32-year-old man was killed outside a Santa Ana apartment complex Monday, Aug. 26, in a suspected gang-related shooting, police said.
The shooting occurred around 3:45 p.m. in the courtyard of an apartment complex on the 800 block of South Townsend Street, north of McFadden Avenue. The man was shot at several times, though it is unclear how many times he was struck, Officer Natalie Garcia said.
The 32-year-old was hospitalized and later died from his injuries. Police believe the shooting was gang-related and multiple suspects were involved, Garcia said.
