It will be Christmas in July at Disneyland when the Haunted Mansion returns in holiday mode after a six-month refurbishment with construction walls expected to remain up for several more weeks as crews continue to work on the surrounding grounds of the classic dark ride.

Haunted Mansion Holiday will return on Monday, July 29 about a month before the Halloween Time season kicks off at the Anaheim theme park.

The holiday overlay version of the classic dark ride will have a virtual queue when the attraction returns from an extensive overhaul.

The first virtual queue will be available daily at 7 a.m. to visitors with a Disneyland reservation on their daily or parkhopper ticket or Magic Key annual pass.

A second virtual queue opens at noon daily for ticketholders and passholders with Disneyland or Disney California Adventure reservations. Visitors must be physically inside Disneyland or DCA in order to enter the noon virtual queue.

The Haunted Mansion closed in January for an extended renovation of the outdoor queue area that will add a new accessibility elevator for wheelchair users exiting the ride and a new retail shop themed as Madame Leota’s carriage house at the attraction’s exit.

Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion has gotten a “Nightmare Before Christmas” makeover based on the Tim Burton animated film for more than 20 years now. The New Orleans Square attraction closed with the holiday overlay still in place.
