As the latest wave of pizzeria openings continue with no signs of slowing down, here are three pizza joints in Orange County that you should put on your radar. Two are new, one has its sea legs and all are well worth repeat visits.
The Feteer Guy
Found inside a Huntington Beach shopping plaza, the Feteer Guy, which opened in 2023, melds feteer with pizza flavors to create an Egyptian-style stuffed pizza. You can choose any filling, like beef, chicken or shrimp, which is then baked inside a flakey dough. The most popular version, the soujok, features a spiced Middle Eastern sausage. Both the soujok and the pastrami, which come with kiri cheese, are halal.
Don’t miss out on the barbecue chicken feteer (with a side of ranch dressing, of course) or feteer dessert versions stuffed with myriad options like custard, Lotus cookie, pistachio, coconut, Nutella and more.
The eatery has seen a rise in customers as of late after videos of its feteers went viral on social media. The Feteer Guy kindly requests guests order pies at least 30 minutes ahead, either by phone, text or direct message on Facebook or Instagram; otherwise, patrons can expect to wait a bit for their baked-fresh feteers.

Parlor
Russ Bendel added a new eatery to his Restaurant Group (Vine, Sapphire, Bloom) on Monday, July 22 with the opening of Parlor Woodfire Kitchen & Cocktails in San Clemente. While not strictly a pizza parlor, pies get top billing on the menu created by executive chef Jared Cook. Pizzas include a classic Margherita; a Pepperoni with smoked mozzarella; the Hot Hawaiian with grilled pineapple, peppadew peppers, provolone and pickled jalapeno; an umami-packed Truffle-Roasted Maitake Mushroom with fontina; the Barbecue Chicken; the Meat Lovers with pepperoni, sausage, soppressata and mortadella; fennel sausage; and the Garden Vegetable with ricotta, black garlic, potatoes, leeks and artichoke hearts.
