Noteworthy: He won the 3,200 meters at the CIF State Track and Field Championships in Clovis. Noonan ran the four laps in 8 minutes, 43.12 seconds for the third-best time in California this season. He was the only Orange County athlete to finish in first place in an individual event at the state meet. Noonan ran the final lap in 57.12 seconds.
