Notable this week: No. 1 Orange Lutheran and No. 2 Pacifica will play in the CIF-SS Division 1 final Friday at 7 p.m. at Deanna Manning Stadium in Irvine. The teams have split two games this season. … JSerra leaps four spots to No. 5 in the rankings after reaching the Division 1 semifinals.
ORANGE COUNTY SOFTBALL TOP 25
1. Orange Lutheran (21-3): Second baseman Mya Diaz went 7 for 11 with five RBIs last week to help the Lancers average 10.3 runs en route to the Division 1 final.

2. Pacifica (26-2): Ace Brynne Nally earned her 21st victory Saturday in a 1-0 triumph against JSerra in the Division 1 semifinals.

3. Canyon (24-5): The Crestview League champion vowed to “be back” after falling to Orange Lutheran 7-4 in the Division 1 quarterfinals.

4. Los Alamitos (20-6): Kalie Matsuno, Allyssa Ramos, Morgan Fitzpatrick and Cienna Kowaleski each had one hit in a 5-1 loss to Oaks Christian in the Division 1 first round.

5. JSerra (18-14): The Lions and freshman Abby Ford finished strong to show their potential for next season.

6. El Modena (20-9): Junior leadoff batter Kaitlyn Galasso went 2 for 4 in a 4-2 loss to Mater Dei in the second round of the Division 2 playoffs.

7. Huntington Beach (18-8): Five of the Oilers’ losses came against non-county teams, including Murrieta Mesa in the Division 1 quarterfinals.

8. Tesoro (17-5): Junior Loula-Rae McNamara pitched six quality innings and had three hits, including two doubles, in a 4-3 loss to Gahr in the second round of the Division 2 playoffs.

9. Capistrano Valley (21-7): Senior leadoff batter Quinn Southerland had a double and triple in an 11-7 loss against Orange Lutheran in the first round of the Division 1 playoffs.

10. Fullerton (23-8): Freshman Katelynn Mathews didn’t allow an earned run in six strong innings in a 3-0 loss to top-seeded West Torrance in the Division 3 quarterfinals.
