Tyler Glasnow takes no-hitter into 6th inning as Dodgers beat Giants

THE GAME: Tyler Glasnow took a no-hitter into the sixth inning as the Dodgers beat the San Francisco Giants, 6-4, on Tuesday afternoon at Camelback Ranch in Glendale, Ariz.

HITTING REPORT: Shohei Ohtani hit his second home run of the spring. Will Smith and Teoscar Hernandez also hit two-run home runs in the win. … Ohtani was 3 for 4 with two singles as well as his home run. He has gone 11 for 19 (.579) in Cactus League play. … Jason Heyward had a triple.

PITCHING REPORT: Glasnow retired the first 13 Giants batters in order, walked Mike Yastrzemski then retired three more. Glasnow struck out eight of the 17 batters he faced, throwing 70 pitches in the longest outing by a Dodgers pitcher this spring. … Daniel Hudson and Evan Phillips each pitched a scoreless inning.

DEFENSE REPORT: Minor-league outfielder Dylan Campbell made the play of the day. Playing center field, he made a nice running catch at the warning track on a deep fly ball by LaMonte Wade Jr. in the seventh inning. With the bases loaded and two outs in the ninth inning, however, Campbell got a bad read on Otto Lopez’s drive. The ball went over Campbell’s head and off his glove for a three-run double.
